NAZRAN, August 17 (RIA Novosti) - Police in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia have averted a terrorist attack on an oil refinery to the northeast of the republic's capital, Nazran, local police said Friday.
"A Mukha grenade launcher was discovered only 30 meters (90 feet) from a cistern filled with oil Friday at 7:30 a.m. Moscow time [3:30 GMT] during an inspection of an oil refinery in the Karabulak district," a police source said.
He added that the grenade launcher was tightly fastened, aimed in the direction of the oil cistern and had a timer on it.
The grenade launcher, he said, was neutralized and an investigation is underway.
